Comment on Carlin Pea in Flower by Colin Easton

Her mother often cooked the peas in a casserole with either pork or lamb. 30 years ago I had a small allotment and obtained some Carlins. I grew them and found the peas very nice. Unfortunately I did not save any peas. This year however at Scotland’s Garden Show I saw an article on Carlin peas and obtained a dozen of them. I now have ten plants approx. 7 feet tall. The peas are nice but not as sweet as modern varieties. I intend to keep some to dry and replant next year (earlier in the year)

I am a volunteer gardener at Camden Park, NSW, Australia, the gardens dating to 1820. We once had a thatched fruit house, demolished probably during or soon after WWII and are trying to find information on the structure of such buildings, including photographs, plans, whatever is available. Can anyone help us?
